I think 5 hours is overkill. You should be able to pop everything off in about a hour.

If you already know how to remove your front bumper, the job is about 2h total.

After having my car sitting on jacks for 3 days, I was finally able to finish the installation of Vivid Racing's DRL. I guess I was the unlucky one who go a defective unit (black box). Thanks to Dan who sent me a replacement the next day. Excellent customer support from Vivid!

I'm very happy, the fitment is great and they look very nice. Now I understand why some people say the white leds may look a bit yellow but that's only if you are super close to them. From a few feet away they look good and all white, you can't see any difference.

Here a crappy iPhone pic, it does not do justice at all, they look bright white in person:

I don't suppose there is an instruction guide or anything if I decide to tackle this myself..

NOT thru the firewall to the footwell. Didn't have a coat hanger and lets just say things get pretty darn cramped up in there.

But, everything went as planned, and had the whole thing done in probably 3hrs... wasting most of the time routing power to the darn things. They're super nice... loving them.

A few pics...

One more thing, the TPS didn't like me testing the lights with the wheels off... had to reset the system this morning on the way to work. Nothing special just a heads up.

one question (prob stupid one but...)

how is those led lights any different than the ones I have on my 997.1TT. It has led lights stock, or are those brighter or?

What am I missing?

Stock 997.1 LED lights only light up when you make a turn... and even then it's orange. These now light up all the time (DRL) and turn to orange when the blinker or hazards are on.

Stock LED's look like they're supposed to light up white, but they don't... hence the modification.

Go look at the front of your car with the lights on or off and tell me what you see going on there.
