$735 / Tire for Rears
#16
I know many of you will consider this blasphemous, but I ditched the big name brands and went with Hankook's V12 tires. I used to have these on my SL 65 and was totally impressed with the performance at more than half the cost. I'm replacing my rears after about 13.5K miles on Fri and am sticking with Hankook. Granted, I don't track my car, but I do a lot of spirited street driving, sharp turns, hard, brake-torqued accelerations with my car and haven't noticed a difference from the previous Michelin's
OP: You could get the new MPSS all around and sell your current front PS2s to another member. They would sell quick.

wow ^^Johngoga^^ going to have to take advantage of those michelin price per tire at costco for the sl5. thank you for the post.
i've never ran hankook tires.. so i'm anxious to hear how they hold up for you.
i'm a little disappointed with continental scrapping the extreme contact DW in 325/25zr20.. such a phenomenal sticky tire.

Thanks guys - those is in the US - I am in Canada. Costco doesn't seem to carry that tire for the rears. Anyways Porsche matched my $625 local price and I have new rears already installed today.

Tunerworks
Call Tunerworks in Calgary. Also ask them about the Michelin Pilot Super Sport as most of us in Calgary are using them (I do) and they are noticeable improvement and don't cost any more. They can ship them to you for a fair price. Tire Rack is also a good option.
QUOTE=Spatia;3593289]So I blew out my rear passenger tire on Friday and now am in need of a set of new rears. They are the Michelin Pilot PS2 305 30 ZR 19 (as you undoubtedly know). Does anyone know where I can get a set for less than $1470 for 2 in Edmonton?
(EDIT) The Porsche Dealership (Norden) is the one charging $735 / tire.
Any help is appreciated.

Kafka - Thanks for the insight - I will try them next time. I went with another set of PS2's as my front s are the same and are only 8 weeks old. When the fronts go I will do them all to the Super Sports.
