Brake upgrade

Hi,

My front rotors (stock) rotors are dead again because cracking around drillings.
I use stock pads too.

I would like no drilled rotors and perhaps other pads, but no screaming...

I heard the bad results had Karol (GT3RS-TT) with the Brembo racing rotors, so, beautifull but expensive and risky...

I heard about Girodisc and Performance Friction too, if someone has experience with them I would be glad to learn...

Bests

P.

Are you tracking the car? How many miles? It seems this has been a somewhat regular occurence; just trying to figure out why you're going thru rotors.

I have GiroDisc with Pagid RS29 pads.
Been using them for a year now and i'm happy with them. You just need to brake hard some times to make the squeal go away.

If you are braking hard at high speeds you wont hear them squeal for a long, long time

This is how they look after 1 trackday and about 3500Km

Thxs guys,

To E55: I track the car 2 or 3 times per year maxi, and sometime highspeed on desert roads.
My car is 40000 kms and they are the second set of front rotors, it's been dynoed 675hp and I hope "touching" 700 with some little new goodies, so,it needs good brakes.
(I run steel brake lines too and change the RBF660 every year)

To Woozy: Girodiscs is perhaps the good option, several questions:
-what about the braking feel in comparison with stock?
-Where did you order them in Europe?

My stock discs had 45000Km. At high speeds i felt fade and that scared me so i changed rotors and pads.

The difference in braking feel is the lack of initial bite. That's because of the Pagid pads.
I like that way for trackdays and high speed hard braking. With stock pads it should feel like stock brakes.

I ordered them at Design911uk

They look like Performance Friction and Girodisc's, are they expensive?

To Alexo: My choice is still not arrested, but I need to choose soon my front rotors are cracked and rear pads dead...

Ok guys I ordered new brakes, I hope the choice won't be bad:

-Giro's are not easy to obtain for me,
-Perf. Friction are almost as expensive as Brembos here,

so I ordered the beautifull Brembo's type 3 (2 parts, slotted) in direct replacement 350mm diameter with Pagid RS29, I hope I won't have the issues known by 380mm GT kit guys, I will share...
