New wheels and suspension installed...with some pics!
Hey guys,
After picking up my TTS this past winter, I really felt like it needed an upgrade in the wheel department. Although the stock CL wheels were great looking, they were just so "tucked in" in the rear, and I wasn't a big fan of that look. After looking through several of the picture threads here and scratching my head a bunch, I ended up ordering a set of HRE P43SC wheels in 20 inch. I know many here aren't a fan of 20" wheels, but I just felt like 19" wheels didn't quite fill the wheel wells the way I liked.
After ordering the wheels, I was in need of some suspension upgrades. With my old 996tt most of the guys went with coilover suspensions, so that is what I decided on for this car. I went with KW this time as opposed to Bilstein, but so far I'm happy with that choice. I haven't put too many miles on this setup yet, but the car feels quite a bit more planted compared with stock and certainly looks better with the lowered stance.
In addition, I just want to send a quick thanks to Wheels Boutique for setting me up with a great set of wheels, tires and suspension. Ben was great to work with and provided a top quality product at a fair price.
