How to know if my car is tuned
Guys I bought a car that originally had a GIAC tune. She currently has headers, cats and exhaust, but I'm not sure if the dealer flashed the ECU to stock for CPO reasons. Are there any signs that could help me figure this out without going to a shop?
Does the GIAC still allow for sport mode to change overboost?
She feels quick but not 600hp quick.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have a softronic tune that raised the boost in sport mode above the 17psi max that is shown on the readout gauge.
I would put the boost up on the display and go do some wide open pulls. In sport mode, when you go over the 17 PSI that the gauge will read, you will see a little arrow pointing up. Meaning you are over the 17 PSI max.
That would be a good indicator in my opinion.

^^^now that's a good question!?!
Actually I recall Champion stating if I wanted to go with their performance package (GIAC), I needed to order my car with Sport Chrono because its the only way to get the "over boost" and this is where the GIAC tune comes into play....

You than plug it in to the port right under the steering wheel, turn on the key and push read on the flashloader and it will light up the stock or the pump light. If it lights up the stock light that means that the previous owner turned the flash off before selling the car. If that is the case, push the pump button and it should light up . Get in and find out what all the excitement is all about.

Contact Giac and supply them with your vin. number and they can tell what flash was installed and when.

I'd like to see someone from Champion chime in here...I bought an 08 turbo with the GIAC tune-(CPO)-no sports chrono-lots of mods-told me it was 700hp...? Without being able to compare any before and after driving I'd be curious if the tune is there or not. Maybe its called trust?

I had reached out to GIAC and they confirmed the car was tuned in 07, I just "assumed" the dealer would flash to stock for CPO, since they went as far as remove the clear bra to adhere to code.
