radio station won't stay tuned

I have a 2008 911 turbo with the factory Nav radio. all radio stations seem fine except one. Whenever I tune into 97.9, it only stays set for a few seconds, then the radio changes to 105.1, which I don't even listen to. I've tried saving it in different memory locations, and just tuning to it directly, and no matter what I do it only stays set a few seconds, then it switches to weather and news on 105. I even tried resetting the radio to factory defaults, but same problem persists. I see a "button" for traffic, but having that selected or de-selected has no effect. Please responds if you've run into this problem

this is a well known problem. Ive had this issue w/ my 09 and now my 08. Im not exactly sure what the deal is but has something to do w/ the the how the antenna handles certain frequencies. P has known about this for a while. Ask a dealer if there's any fixes.

Bump to this, I have the same issue. Dealer recommend anything? It's really annoying.

The solution to this problem is to TURN OFF the RBDS. I was given this info by my local dealership Service manager and it worked for me. His exact response was:

"The r.b.d.s function must be turned off in order for your radio to work with these stations. It is an issue with clear channel not your radio"

the RBDS function can be turned off within the SET button there is a box to uncheck and that keeps some stations from drifting or hopping...but it goes back to default ON every time you turn off the vehicle

how can RBDS box remain unchecked permanently?

My dealer said that is just the way it is, there is no memory for that function to always stay OFF. You have to reset it every time you start the car.

I got myself a Jabra bluetooth adaptor and just play my iPhone thru the Jabra bluetooth to FM transmitter and it works great.

This used to happen to me periodically a few years ago and I couldn't figure out WTF it was... Onefast997 told me it was the stupid traffic program thing, couldn't believe it -- i turned it off and the problem went away. It has not come back since and I have never had to change the setting again. Surprised to hear that you are turning it off but the problem is still happening?

it really sucks...all this German technology and over engineering and you can't even turn the damn thing off...I listen to this one particular station and it just hops to another station every couple of minutes...unless I uncheck the RBDS box...but then it has to be done every day I start up the pig
