I just had wheels put on the car with the PSS and I find them great. The ride to me is not as quite as the PS2 but I do feel that there is better grip and cornering.

Did you find car swaying more (quick left/right directional changes)?

Not to go off topic..but.. how do any of these compare to R888s ? I have them on my TT and while they GRIP.. I do feel that they are mooshier - possibly softer side walls ..?

My switch is from PS2, first to Pirelli R comp Corsa, then to PSS, so my comparison may not be that accurate, but as best I could tell, PSS sidewall's stiffness is similar to PS2's. It is the R comp Pirelli Corsa that is just clearly a class above. My next tire will likely be Bridgestone RE-11, from all indications stiffer than PSS, and softer than R comp.

A couple notes about PSS:
1. You can't beat the treadwear rating and the cost of PSS. So much cheaper than PS2, and lasts much longer.
2. Comparison to PS2 is mainly for academic interest only, because I believe PS2 is destined to be phased out.
3. Michelin did claim that PSS is faster than PS2 on the track. 1.5 seconds on 2700 meter course. However I am very skeptical because this is A LOT. (For example, Nurburgring is about 22.8 km so if you extrapolate (*assuming* conditions allow), is my math correct that this is about a 12 seconds gain at the ring?! I have a hard time believing that!). Oddly enough, during the comparison for journalists, PSS was compared to other tires back to back, but never to PS2 back to back.
4. I would speculate that performance wise PS2 and PSS are similar. It is the cost and the wear that heavily favor PSS. PSS does have remarkable treadwear rating for such a high performance tire - I consider this change to be the most impressive aspect of PSS, and the stickiness.

Toyo Roxes R888 is a (very good) R comp tire, like Pirelli Corsa/Trofeo, and Michelin Cup. AFAIK, even though these R comp tires are all made of softer compound, the sidewall is stiffer, much stiffer. Once warm, they should be quite stiff and not mushy at all.
Anyone here if you are interested, go to your local Porsche shop when it has R comp tire off of a wheel - you could literally feel the huge difference in sidewall stiffness (vs. street tires) by pushing with your fingers.

BTW, a tire discussion without a weight comparison table is not fun enough :-) - see below. Note that PSS is actually heavier than the older PS2.

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...iffness-2.html
R compound Michelin Cup: front/rear 20/27 = 47 lbs
R comp Pirelli Corsa: 21/26 = 47
Continental Extreme Contact DW: 21/28 = 49
Hoosier R6 (not street tire, 315/30-19 rear): 22/27 = 49
Michelin PS2: 22/28 = 50*************************************
Continental SportContact 3: 22/28 = 50
Pirelli Rosso: 22/29 = 51
Michelin Pilot Super Sport: 25/30 = 55****************************************
Bridgestone RE050A: 24/31 = 55
Hankook Ventus V12: 24/32=56
R comp Toyo Roxes R888: 25/31 = 56
Bridgestone RE11: 27/32 = 59
(If you think there is not much of a difference. A Turbo with iron brake and RE11 will have close to 60 lbs. more in unsprung weight than one with PCCB and Michelin Cup!)
