I wouldn't sweat it as anything bad happens pretty quickly. 7400 rpms are nothing for these engines. I'd only be worried with revs over 8700.
Re the flash, anytime you flash a ecu and adjust the rev limit, all the parameters are thrown off, it may never have seen 7400.....
You must insist the stock parameters are left in place with an am flash
I'd use it as a major bargaining chip with the dealer.
