Dectane/Depo lights?

Used the same vendor. Don't know about extra QC but mine have been on the car for 2 years - work flawlessly.

Now that the light is working, no error code appearing, & you have had a coffee it's time to get back to work!
Cut small pieces of carpet tape & apply them to the back surface of the resistors. Also the dust out of the tail light enclosure on the body of the car so the resistors can stick.
You will notice in my photo, I also had added the additional resistor that came with the lights. It really doesn't do much of anything because it's for the signal light which was never an issue with my car. Some cars require this & some don't, however it's useless for the tail light going out scenario.
Get your favourite small flash light & look into the tail light enclosure on the car then apply the resistors to the back metal wall of the enclosure.
This is important because these resistors do get warm & when attached to the metal will allow them to dissipate heat.
My rear/left tail light was wired just like yours and since I had the same exact problem I just skipped right to attaching the resistors (same 50w/6ohm off some random website) and it worked like a charm. I had my rear right tail light replaced under warranty since it was under a year old, and I have an extra set of 2 resistors and T-Taps ready to put in when that one starts going bad in another year.
I didn't have to attach any extra wire to get them in-place, but I probably would have if I have to do the fix again as having some extra length in the connection will make it easier to remove the tail lights in the future (not much wire length now as soon as you start removing the tail light from the housing).
I used two-sided 3m molding tape to secure the resistors. Even after a few minutes they sure do get hot. I'll have to check the lights again in a few days and see how the molding tape is holding up - my guess is it might be a good idea to get some good double sided thermal transfer tape that is meant for conducting heat (maybe they'll last longer, who knows).
Mods, you have my approval to give this gentleman +100 rep points -- well, now he only needs 99

Now it is the right rear brake light
After getting my lights replaced by frank at orange tuning, the rear brake light is setting off the computer and the display is saying right rear brake light. Will this fix work for the brake light on the dectanes?

It worked for the rear brake light G-forceTarga4S fix
Thanks again G-forceTarga4S for your fix, and great instructions!!!

Thanks for recommending me for rep points
I'm very happy that my fix has been helping out so many guys with their Dectane LED warning light problem.
My fix is still working just fine after a number of months now!
Happy motoring everyone

I think I have to clarify a few things here:
1. CarLightPro is the ONLY authorized importer for Dectane lights in North America.
2. Dectane in the inventor and only producer of these 997 taillights (they are produced from Depo for Dectane).
3. There are copies of these lights on the market, that look the same but are NOT.
That means: When you did buy the lights from other sources than CarLightPro in the US, you have a counterfeit or a gray import. Even when you did buy from a Dectane dealer in Europe, Dectane will not honor the warranty when the lights where shipped to the US, you have to deal with your European source..
We (CarLightPro) sell these lights since almost 3 years now, we NEVER had problems like these described here....

I bought my lights from Orange Tuning and the service has been terrible. No return communications. I am stuck holding the bag.
I can vouch for carlightpro's service. I called them just for advice on these lights and Sasha was on a rally and still took the time to take my call and is going to help me out.... and I didn't even buy anything from them yet! Great service. If I have to buy a new set I will be buying them from carlightpro.com!
