I had the similar thing to the left side at around 35,000 miles. The right side was fine. Dealer replaced it and I was very skeptical. Happy to say it held out until I sold the car at 68,000 miles and had no issues with the right side.

Yes - factory carbon, leather wrapped with deviated stitching. Very difficult to obtain.

Common issue, before I purhcased the car owner decided to replace with with an all leather version with deviated stiching.

yeah, i had this same problem on my passt 08 turbo..the left side kept buckling up and porsche kept replacing it up until i sold the car. replaced it about about 3 times :-/ DB for sure and i think MA makes a nice replacement piece for the whole defroster set and in my opinion looks even better. It makes the entire defroster carbon so you dont have to worry about it coming up. check it out--
