Replacing backrest leather DIY?

Hi, does anyone have any links to DIY's for replacing the drivers backrest leather? My bolster was pretty warn and had been re-dyed before I got the car.
When I did the Leatherique treatment the dye came off.
I was going to get it re-dyed and was quoted between 200-300, but I found an OEM front backrest for the 997 in Natural Brown leather with the crest, brand new for $400.
Suncoast wanted $1063 for the same part.
So, all I need now, are some clear DIY's that show things better than the service manual.
Thanks for any help.

Look around and maybe try some of the used auto dealers to see who they use... should be able to fill cracks and re-dye one seat for $50. Mine is sand beige and needs a driver seat redo every yr or so. I got the leather professinally cleaned and the drivers seat/steering wheel redone for $80 a few months ago.

I guess they gouge us up here. However, the backrest is in the mail.
There was one DIY here for the sport seats but thew comfort seats are different.

Just received the backrest in two days from Latvia! I'll do a DIY when I get my car out of storage in the next month. Found a partial video on youtube. Looks easy.
$480 shipped with no taxes.

That would be great. Just looked at the seat, the back looks like it will be a very tight fit and not that easy to do.

so, what is it? the service manual or another document? If its the service manual I already have it. If it's something else, please tell me the name that you have, or any other info. I'll find it.
Thanks

Um, anything can be copied from a pc. Alt print screen, and you have a screen capture. It's not like I'm going to make any money from it.
Unless you really don't have it in the first place.

Porsche documents like service manuals etc are now in the public domain.
There is no issue. So, Alt Print screen will do it

It's on my I-pad. Yes it's the service manual and it descrbes how to remove and replace any and all parts of the seat.

Sorry I cold not help. Post some pictures when you assume the task. I was reading and it seems you need some glue around the perimeter of the bolsters.
