997.2 Turbo exhaust tips and valance opening

I am curious if anyone has ventured into replacing the stock tip with a single round (i.e. GT2) tip and 'filled' the opening on either side for a finished look. After three 997 Turbos with stock and quad tips, I want something different and am ISO a garage/car project. I am going to begin experimenting this weekend with some pipe of various sizes and both a straight and angled cut. Thoughts welcome!

We did not fill in the openings, but I think that our RSR style system looks perfect on the 997.2TTs. The tips are 4" slash-cut units.

Those look great - do you have any that will fit the 997.1 EP2 (76mm outlet)?

These tips are part of our complete 997.2TT system and are not available individually.

From the standpoint of "what will it look like?" the above picture is a good indication of what a slash cut single-tip would look like on OP's car.

OK thanks. I thought you were responding to OPs question on tips.

Speedtrap is infamous around these parts
I think it look rather small for a big gap. You need to make it bigger e.g. the oval tips on an Eisenmann?

Here's my Akrapovic exhaust tips. Carbon fiber surround with oval tips. Originally the tips were chrome but I had them painted gloss black. I know some people don't like the single/oval tip but I'm actually happy with them. Goodluck!

They look the nuts if I may so express. How much were they and are you able to share where you got them from? Many thanks.

If you're referring to me, these were part of the kit with the Akrapovic exhaust system. I don't believe Akrapovic sells them separately. I was just pointing out what larger rounded/oval tips filling in the gap would look like.
