When trouble shooting the Promo/Number issue I was going back through my emails from ZunSport. I had originally inquired about a custom kit for a 997.1TT on July 27th of 2011.

13 months later they finally had the production kit ready to ship. My confirmation order went out on September 12th of 2012.

The reason for not installing them in September, is because it was just over the halfway point in our track season and I wanted to wait until our down time in Jan/Feb to have my front bumper re-painted before doing the install.

Now I can't wait to get the car back from the shop this week and take a few more pictures for you all. I only had my car a day or two after installing before it left again.

As promised pictures , my primary goal is to protect the radiators but I like the look too.

 

^^^ Well what do you think, do you like the chrome or are you going to matte them down? I think they look great in the photos you have taken. My only feedback would be on the two outer grill sets, I wish the large inner hooks were black to blend in with the openings. Easy fix though : )

Vid, I am going to keep them as they are now. I thought they would be chrome-like but they are not, they are satin finished stainless steel and match the SS outer edge of my BBS rims perfectly. I will have to take better pictures in daylight. With artificial light they do not look as nice.
Yesterday evening I had my doubts but after seeing them in daylight I am convinced this is the look for me. I am adding aluminum look mirror arms which will make everything even better integrated.

 

Agreed, they look incredibly classy in person. IMHO, by far the best looking grill sets out there for the Turbos! Actually rather stealthy as well

Should look sharp with those aluminum mirror arms!

 

Agreed, I have had them since months already and never got them on the car.
With the new grille I have new motivation to install them asap.

I will remove the small bits of martini racing stripes from the front grills I think, even though they will show through the grills and possibly look interesting. What do you guys think?
