Your cluster was damaged? Normally they read data from the cluster and read data to the cluster. Kind of a reset but they have the PIWIS and your VIN and the data can be read into the cluster from Germany. I believe maybe your cluster is damaged which might explain the chrono chronic problem(no pun intended) you are having. The cluster itself is considered a module and is expensive. I am not a Porsche tech but I have been reading about the systems Porsche uses and do have a background in engineering and electronics.

Anyhow they ordered 2 new mafs and contacted porsche technical services. They can't get the cluster to accept the programming. I hope that this was the original cluster!
Car did an average of 25mph in its life . Car is from 2 big cities so I guess this is reasonable
Will bring in the car next Thursday when the mafs arrive
Why should it be so hard to program the cluster? Maybe the tooki is interfering?
I know nothing about the Tooki kit, but without a doubt you will not be able to program anything on a Porsche if your mObridge is in 'enabled' mode.

It has a switch that you flick 5 times to 'disable' it, after which the car can be programmed just fine and it just throws an error on the PCM screen about something missing.

So, here I am again....it's now 10 days after they said they ordered me 2 MAF's to take care of my "boost " issue.
You would thing they should have called by now saying the parts are in (they were supposed to be in on wednesday).

So, here's the thing....I think my instrument cluster was changed. This is why they can't reprogram it. I have heard that there is a limited number of times that one can program it. Shortly after the factory delivery and then that's it.
Could explain why mine reads wrong and that they can't fix it.

Stay tuned, I'm pissed.

did you ever resolve this issue? I have a 997.2TT and the boost meter reads 0-14psi too.

Issues that are itermittant are frequently not easily diagnosed. It's okay to be frustrated but it doesn't mean your dealership is doing anything less than all they can do. Simply drop the car off, get a loaner, and leave the vehicle to give them time to diagnose and repair the issue.

you're not alone in having bad service...I live in PA and went to a dealership because my "check oil level" warning kept coming on. took it to the dealership twice and both times they said "the light is going off as it's supposed to"...mind you the light would go over twice a day (and I would drive the car about 20-30 miles a day...the light should NOT be going off every 10-15 miles). They said "the reason the light goes off so often is to make sure there's enough oil in the car at all times...it's special to Turbo's only...so nothing is wrong". I asked them to manually check the oil level and they said they couldn't. I asked them to change the filter and they said "that's not something that needs to be done". So off I went...with a car that had a warning light coming on every 10-15 miles...talk about annoying!

So fast forward to 6 months later for my service...part of the service is to change the oil filter...it was changed and woah...no more warning lights...not a single one since that day. Why didn't they change the oil filter when it was FAULTY when I ASKED them to you wonder? Well wonder no more...they knew they wouldn't get PAID if they changed it when I asked them to cause it was faulty...they waited till it was part of my service so change it so they would get paid.

I've ALWAYS taken my car to dealerships to get serviced...but for mundane things from now on...I refuse to take my car to a Porsche dealership. It's ridiculous how much they rip you off...and don't blink an eye. but hey...that's the price we pay for the cars we have so all we can do is complain on here I suppose. Complaint over.
