Oil change questions for 2011 TTS (997.2)

Howdy,

SOOOO, getting ready for my first oil change on my 2011 Turbo S. I've always done my own oil changes and simply don't trust the dealer. They usually keep their best mechanics working on the high tech mechanical issues. The newer/lower level mechanics tend to do the oil changes.

Anyways, I really want to get this right. I found this link, however, it looks like it's for a non-turbo 997.2. Is it the same for the Turbo? And, only ONE drain plug???

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...931&styleid=24

Also, does anyone have the torque specs for the oil filter and drain plug(s)?

Big thanks in advance!

Doesn't your car have service plan that was included with your purchase? I would phone Porsche Cars NA b/c I thought if Porsche dealer wasn't doing the scheduled maintenance, then goodbye warranty??

By my observation the most senior techs handle the oil/filter services. I've seen the same senior tech change the oil in my 02 Boxster and then the next day when pick up the car he's got a GT2 or a Turbo (sometimes mine) or a Carrera GT or even in one instance a 959 in and changing the oil or doing other services.

Generally you can specify which tech or techs you want to work on your cars.
