Clutch Replacement

This may be a stupid question but has anyone done a DIY on a clutch install? I have no clue how hard it would be on a tt. I know when I had my supra it was not fun but I could still bang it out in my garage with jack stands and a couple floor jacks.

Thanks, Ill take a look at it. I am not sure if it is worth saving the $1200 to have it installed or not. I do enjoy working on my own cars and getting to know them better but I am not looking to torture myself in the process.

Make sure you wait until August if your going to torture yourself, LOL!! One thing is for sure, it'll be a hell of a lot easier then changing the clutch in your M6.

Yeah could you imagine wrenching on your car in the dead of summer!! No chance. Are you getting a tune after the clutch? You might as well get the plugs done at the same time. Then you are all set. Let me know when you are done and Ill fly down and hang for a couple days.

Kendall,

I am planning on doing the clutch and plugs myself and then going to get the tune. I still have not decided on which tune to go with as EVO is in my back yard but I like the idea of using softronic and doing it myself.

I just bought the Protomotive Tune for my 997, so I may be changing clutch in 997 soon. Ill do another DIY if so.
