More than likely the shifter/cables are not adjusted correctly. When they first installed mine and they test drove it, it was popping out of second. They made some adjustments and it hasn't popped out since. Although after the second gear adjustment, then I could not get it into 5th or 6th! Back it went....all is perfect now! I've gotten use to the first to second throw and really don't even notice it now. I have my throw in the middle adjustment point. I really like it there because the shift **** is actually slightly taller then stock and the reach from the wheel to the stick is minimal, quick, and effortless...

Sorry man, not a clue...that's why I paid them to do it! My first test day went flawlessly when it came to shifting...worth the investment.

Best of luck, sorry I cannot offer anymore insight at this point.

D, did I understand you correctly that Numeric is actually physically taller/longer than stock shifter? By stock do you mean stock regular, or stock SSK?

Yes, slightly taller then the stock standard shifter, however the throw is shorter.

You can actually see just how much taller in this video:

Well I reached out to Numeric and got my issue fixed. For anyone who runs into this for the future, the adjustment is made to the R2 cable at the transmission box. You put the shifter in neutral, pop it out, then adjust the cable shorter to keep it from popping out of 2nd gear.

I am racing at NOLA this weekend so I will be sure to let you guys know my thoughts in both daily use and racing (also driving the 6hrs down there in my car).

As a quick update, I dont know how guys can call this "as quiet as stock" it DEFINETELY is louder and the cables (Numeric Cup) Rattle a lot! Its not unbearable or anything, and I dont even hear the rattle while driving (Tubi Exhaust) or when the music is on at any normal listening level. However I turned the music off to take a phone call today and IMMEDIATELY noticed the rattle while the car was in neutral at a stop light. Definetely not enough to turn me off to the cables or make me regret my purchase (the shifting is a work of art) however its no where near stock quiet. Also, I personally verified that the plastic "bushings" were installed on the cable ends.

^^^ (2up) Best of luck this weekend! You've got me beat on a driving distance to a track event. Max for me competing and driving the same vehicle to and from an event has been 4 hours one way. Typical track commutes are only 70-80 miles (one way) with the furthest local track being 186 miles one way.
