Swole Powell's Boost Logic BL1000 997TT Package
Sorry for the delay of this post, been very busy so just now getting this up!!!
Early last year we decided after the success we had with my stock motor setup and my built motor setup that Boost Logic had done on my 996TT; my brother made the choice to do a similar setup to my original. His would differ some in the fact we were going to utilize TiAL Alpha 3076 Turbos paired with AFI headers and Precision Wastegates. The biggest hold up on the build was the availability of clutches from Tilton due to a lack of carbon. We were not going to settle with anything but the best mainly because if it can take my beatings it is a beast. Matt has a some what hybrid version of the Boost Logic BL1000 because we utilized the TiAL Alpha’s instead of a standard T3 Flanged Turbo.
The Standard BL1000 Turbo Kit consists of the following :
Boost Logic Billet Turbos
Boost Logic Custom Headers
Tial MVR External Wastegates
Boost Logic Wastegate Dump Tubes
Boost Logic 3in Intake Kit
Boost Logic Aftermarket Turbo Oil System
Boost Logic 996/997 Race Intercooler Kit – 6” High Flow Intercoolers
Boost Logic 3" Aluminum Y-pipe
TiAL 50mm Blow Off Valves (Optional Color Choices)
HKS EVC 6 Boost Controller
NGK Iridium Spark Plugs
Boost Logic 996/997 Drivetrain upgrade. - Tilton carbon three plate clutch
Boost Logic Fuel system upgrades - 1000cc Fuel injectors
All necessary hoses
The Hybrid BL1000 Kit that Matt has consists of the following :
TiAL Alpha 3076
AFI Headers w/ modified Wastegate Mounts / dump tubes
Precision 46mm Wastegates
Boost Logic Wastegate Dump Tubes
Boost Logic 3in Intake Kit
Boost Logic Aftermarket Turbo Oil System
Boost Logic 996/997 Race Intercooler Kit – 6” High Flow Intercoolers
Boost Logic 3" Aluminum Y-pipe
TiAL QR 50MM Valves
HKS EVC 6 Boost Controller
NGK Iridium Spark Plugs
Boost Logic 996/997 Drivetrain upgrade. - Tilton carbon three plate clutch
Boost Logic Fuel system upgrades - 1000cc Fuel injectors

Couple pictures of the components included in the kit!
Y-Pipe and TiAL QR’s off the car
Boost Logic 6” Intercoolers
Y-Pipe Installed
Engine bay fan modified with Spahl fan.
Now lets talk horsepower…
On 1.7bar on MS109 the car made a lot more than what we expected:
860rwhp / 766rwtq
We have been busy lately with other projects so we do have a pump gas tune that Matt has been driving around on but we have yet to put it on the dyno yet. He has been enjoying driving the car. Plus we want to get mine ready now for the Syvecs so those numbers will come soon enough.
Have we been to the track you ask? Yes!
We were able to make it to the track, but sadly in the crappiest conditions. Matt was running on 19” Nitto Invo’s on his DPE Rims. He ran 2x 10.5s @ 139 and 141 and another 10.6 @ 137 (rode the limiter out in 4th gear). The DA was +3000 on Friday thanks to our lovely 89* weather at 10pm… He has to shift into 5th on his passes so that is something we are going to try to figure out how to bypass maybe by running a 27” or 28” tire some how like I do on my car. I think the car in the cold weather with a -2500+ DA we should be able to go deeper into the 10s at 145-146, but that is speculation so we will have to see this winter.
Here is the video of the 10.6 @ 139mph pass (other videos did not turn out so well)
Rolling numbers aka 60-130…
We have not had a chance to go out and test with a safe road but I don’t expect anything super awesome with this weather.
Final thoughts …
EPL’s Anti-Lag System is freaking AWESOME!!!
Special Thanks to!
We would like to thank Boost Logic (Zohair, Jon, Joe, Joe, Justin (Well Tuning Concepts with him)), European Performance Labs (Tony Chick, Rich, Dave Magera (Bam’s older brother?)), Jon @ EVOMS (always has advice when I need it the most!), JoeTwint and all that were involved.
Last little bit of info :
Only have one pic of the car that is decent from my phone since we added the VRT Wing. I’ll get more soon enough! The car has DPE Wheels, VRT Front Bumper, VRT Rear Bumper, and a VRT Wing.

Chris had the headers from his old setup so we went ahead and used them with some custom modifications.

Thanks everyone, The car is perfect! I find reasons to just go for random drives. I cant wait till winter, the 10.5@141 track pass had a DA of +3000. I know she will go very low 10's this winter on the street tires, I know with so Drag radials she will go 9's but I care for day to day performance numbers. As for installing a Syvecs that might be a consideration if I ever build the motor, but as of right now I am super happy with the EPL tune. Driving the car you would think she is stock until WOT. I also choose to do external wastegates for better control, reliability, and the awesome noise!

one of the best complate packages
congrats to the owner
as i see you are not running 100% BOVs , is that because you are running maf setup ? as well as , is 3'' ypipe too much for your project ??
