Del p2100??

I just received a CEL, and with the Durametric saw the code was P2100 Implausible value from throttle actuator. However, on searching the forums here people have said that the Durametric actually swaps the P code (00 with the 21) order and the value should have been P0021 which is a camshaft problem. This was stated in a thread from 2011. I have the latest software, so I would expect that it should be fixed? Otherwise what is the use of the Durametric if the P codes are wrong?

Anyhow I reset it and drove 10 miles or so with no error.
Should I be concerned?

Thanks

Try the reset/calibrate throttle (Dr. Sullivan's thread on that). If it's your first CEL & now code cleared, if car running well, I would drive around a bit paying close attention to how the car is running. I wouldn't go to track for a spirited driving session!

If it comes back, $6000-$9000 USD worth of work on engine to fix the cams.

Good luck.

Yes, but is it the cam????
P0021 is the CAM. P2100 is the throttle actuator.P2100 is what I got.

I find it hard to believe that Durimetric didn't fix the code since 2011.
The numbers were swapped back then. Is this still the case???

It is odd that the latest version of Durametric still may show the codes improperly but it does...

This means you are getting P0021 (first two and last two digits are flipped). Sorry

This was the cam thread, btw:

you may want to email owen at durametric and ask him if codes are reversed.
Probably many on here would like to know if that is case.
I had positive response from him few months back as durametric pro couldn't communicate with my 07TT tip trans- i sent them few files & received file & instructions few weeks later that allowed me to communicate with Tip trans.
