what can we do with a durametric ?
Guys,
im reading posts on how one can disable tpms, program corner lights and window roll up via remote.
is there a link or a how to somewhere ?
what kind of other cool things can we do with a durametric PRO? disable seatbelt chime ?
(bbyu's thread is for tuning and datalogging, already checked it)

Just go through the list on the left when its connected to the car it will be self explanatory.
But you can switch off warning lights, fault find etc etc

Well, for starters, you can turn of PASM (requires you to access the module, and do some unplugging) you can reprogram your ECU for LEDs DRLs, turn off the seat belt warning, reprogram the airbag sensor, reset the service light, disable the rear fan (in case you want to go MAFLess blow through and have to remove the rear fan) disable the spoiler (you don't need a harness a la 996TT, you can actually shut it off.)

Can anyone confirm I can permanently turn off my airbag light with Durametric Pro?
I've heard a couple of things:
A) You can turn it off but it'll come back on until the problem is fixed.
B) You can turn it off permanently.
Thanks,
Nels

With the Durametroic Enthusiast,.. you can do almost nothing. Just read and clear codes like with a $99 Actron Scanner, though with a bit better explanations of what the codes mean.
To actually DO anything with the car (like activate and de-activate functions like PASM, seat-belt chime, fan operation, etc, etc),.. you need the poorly named "Coding" feature,.. which brings up a drop-down menu and allows you to turn things on and off by checking boxes.
Durametric refers to this as "coding" for some reason,.. even though you don't have to write code. And they don't explain it on the site,... suckering people into buying the nearly useless Enthusiast version.
If you want to actually accomplish anything,.. you need the Pro version for about $800.

Wow, an old thread from Mr. Steve K NY!
I have the Pro version and can program most of my options with my Cayenne and 997.1
I couldn't do this with the enthusiast version and was limited to one car.

If you're a DIY garage mechanic, the Enthusiast works fine for diagnostics and viewing/clearing error codes.
