Project Simba 997tt Cabriolet

The build is half way done...all the aesthetics are done. Next spring Simba will be fitted with a Switzer E911 Flex Fuel setup.

looks amazing...from the side profile i wonder if you should have gone with cf gt2 side skirts to give it a cleaner look.....the white gt2 skirts seems to give an odd lower line when viewing it at a a side profile along with the front and rear cf lower valences....

I already brought that up with the project manager...we decided to go with the current setup to see how it flows since I bought the side skirts so long ago before we went with the custom CF GT2RS rear end.

Trying to overlay CF on the side skirts is tough since it is so flexible and the CF process puts a lot of stress on them as is...we will check to see if there is already a CF version or if we need to do a mold of the skirts.

There are CF side skirts out there but none that I liked...the GT2 side skirts were the right amount of flare.

I'll post with what we come up with...

Faiz...just ordered another set of stock GT2 side skirts...we are just going to have our CF subcontractor do an overlay on them. We found some ROTec carbon GT2 side skirts (in their notes they said they just overlayed CF on OE GT2 side skirts) but I can get it done locally and be sure of quality and probably for less.

CBADtt...we deleted the rear seats altogether and a custom sub enclosure was made. What's over top of it is the base for the faux Speedster "cowls"...

Here is pic without the Speedster cowl pieces (3 pieces...a base that fits across the car and 2 top cowl covers). I take the 2 top pieces off and keep the base on when I want to put the top down. I keep the cowl pieces in leather covers and they sit behind the seats. The process takes about a minute or two.

PS...We fit a single 13" JL TW5 flat sub in the back with a port on the driver's side. We kept the front stock sub but powered it with more power. All Hertz amplification and front sound stage separates. It's like a damn amphitheater now...I played Hotel California with the top down and it was downright awe inspiring.

Engine mods will be in a couple of months...it'll be a Stage 1 Switzer E911 Flex Fuel setup. Stage 2 (if I choose) would be getting into the internals. Stage 1 should get me between 700-800whp.

Currently, I only have the Switzer ECU upgrade (100hp increase) and muffler bypass with a 200cell cat.

While I like the P40's, I wanted to go traditional BBS and the gold and red caps really match up well with the white exterior and red interior...but thats me.
