Radar Detector Power Point in Rearview Mirror?
Hi guys,
I have a '14 TTS, and in other cars I have always accessed switched power for my radar detector at the self-dimming rearview mirror. I have not had to run a wire along the headliner, down the a-pillar and through to the fuse box like everyone on the 991 forum seems to be doing.
The Porsche fit and finish is very nice, of course, with no exposed wiring, but is there anyone on this Forum that has acessed the wire harness at the mirror without the hassle of running a wire to the fusebox? It looks like there is a black plastic trim right behind the rearview mirror piece that goes up against the windshield glass that if it could come off would provide access to the mirror harness.
Has anyone done this? I just want to do a mirror mount for my Escort 9500. Thank you.
