Garage lift?

Subscribed. I too like this but was concerned about the side to side sway was wondering if you are putting floor jacks down for the just In case?
For $1k and ease of storage this is on the top of my list now. This one looks like a breeze to hang on your workshop wall and such. Max jax was my first choice but was waiting for a garage to be built.

Agree, If I had the Jack set up, I would just create a host on the ceiling and raise it to the ceiling for storage. obviously create some safety brackets that would prevent it from falling down.

Geez, you have all the good stuff in your garage. What is your floor thickness?

tire machine , balancing machine , lift , huge compressor press and couple more staff , all this just because we don't have any performance shop in the area for german cars . any way , can tell how thick it is , I install it exactly as the manual say, have the lift installed 4 years already , had no issues with it , heaviest car I had on it was Q7 and nissan Armada , friends come to visit the lift
Scary, Max weight for the system is 6000 lbs. A Armada is 7,000 lbs. and a Q7 is just over that.
I don't think you can tell how thick your foundation is now without drilling another hole.

I don't remember , was 4 years ago , lift did the job , they tells you it's 6000 lb , but you have a little room over that .

These are all less than $2000. I got mine freighted from an Automotive supplier in Indiana. I see prices from $1299.00 on up. They are portable by pulling them with the included dolly, but they weigh about 1000 lbs.. This one carries up to 6000 lb vehicle, so easily handles even the Cayenne and BMW X5.
You can do a search on Google for "mid rise scissor lift" and you will find lots of good info.. It brings the bottom of the car about 40 + onches off the ground in less than 15 seconds...And runs on regular 120 outlet.
Good luck.

I Have the Maxx Jax as well.
My garage floor was old and pretty thin, instead of having a slab poured i cut out a 24inch square for each side of the lift and poured 18 inches of high strength concrete reinforced with rebar which extended under the existing concrete for a wider "base".
This is a great lift, FYI Costco sells them on their website which includes shipping. (got mine as a group buy from Garage Journal)

What manufacture did you go with?

Got it from a local distributor here in Salt Lake, also went with the heavy duty
jack that rolls in the center.

Nice! Looked at the website. Can you change tires with this lift? Didn't see anything on that.
