You can see the Tip times are slightly better than the manual times I am guessing because the gears are slightly longer?

i'll beat a tiptronic's time though. its only right.
i was shifting at 6700, i should be shifting at no higher than 6k.

shift at 6k, so that when i upshift, i am at my peak torque... VTG's run out of breath upstairs.

Wouldn't you want to shift higher than 4k, at whatever rpm level would net you LANDING at 4k in the new gear? If you shift at 4k, what is the rpm drop from 3rd to 4th?

i shift at 6k so that the car is at 4k (more like 42/4300) on the next gear, which is where i make power.


sorry that was a typo in my response to easy 2 speed. i meant to say yes, i shift at 6k because im not making more power.

The abofe graph is for apr 95oct file...not for the 100oct race file...there is no graph at apr site for that...in reality manual997tt with apr and good exhaust revs that fast you simply cant miss rev limiter....there was a thread last year somewhere of a yellow 997tt that flashed it with apr race file and dynoed it...I ll try to find it...

Just did a couple of runs in my stock car and realized you have to go into 5th to hit 130. That's going to kill the 60-130 on manual cars.

Most tuned cars bump the rev limiter to 7k, which allows you to hit 130+ in 4th

Apr flash keeps rev limit at 6750 both for tip and manual cars...thus in a manual you need to shift to 5th to reach 130...however you can log a very fast 100 200km time....

60 is around 3.4k. so i brake boost, put some load on the motor and away we go.

Yup, that's what I figured also, makes sense. The shift is what kills our 60-130 times on stock gearing and stock rev limiter. When I did the runs on the APR 100oct map, I got 7.5 60-130 and 5.9 100-200k. For the 100-200k I was able to do the run in 4th gear only.

BTW, how were you able to brake boost? I tried the brakes and handbrake, but the car would cut fuel after it detects throttle and brake input for more than 2 seconds. I tried turning off PSM and got the same result.

same here... it allows brakeboost for like 2 seconds and cuts off.. 2 seconds is better than nothing lol.

when i (finally) do my build, i'll have brake boost and a higher rev limit.
