GT2 style plastic spoiler lip for 997TT?
#228
Thanks for the heads up on this. Based on all of your posts I've ordered one. Still have the original stock one and it is definitely time to replace. Will report on delivery and install in due course.

It is a replica of the stock 997 turbo aerokit lip.

Got mine. Perfectly packaged in a HUGE box (shipping must just kill this guy). Perfect condition, not bent, twisted or anything of the sort. Wrapped in plastic with a nice made in China sticker on the bag. I haven't fully inspected, but certainly appeared perfect. It is indeed an aero kit mold front lip. Can't blame him for raising the price; he's sold over 50 of them.

Satin black bumper paint. I did that second time and looks great.

Same quality & material as oem & aero kit lips should be painted same color as body just like then are from the factory imo

Just wanted to add my 2 cents here. I am by no means a do it yourself auto guy (wish I was but never had anyone to teach me). But I did the whole plastidip thing with the first lip I ordered based on the rec's of one of the earlier posters, and it not only has lasted and looks good for the last 5-6 months, but it was easier than sh-t to do. I wouldn't worry too much about any marks, scratches or glue that comes on the lip (I think that's part of the Chinese manufacturing experience ). Once you plastidip it, it'll look great!

Just received mine. Ordered and shipped in 4 days! Well packaged and in perfect condition no warpage. I bought the Plastidip but since my car is Black and the finish on the spoiler lip is pretty good I may just try it as is. I'll try and get some photos of the process and at a minimum will post pre and post shots.

lip done 10 mins
Ok done and dusted. 10 min job. The two tabs nearest the end were a pain and broke....couldn't turn it under as it's to stiff there. I found the best technique is to just role the lip, towards the back of the car and the tabs pop out. Install simple and the tabs all lined up. They have adjusted the size of the screw hole since the early post versions so it requires no modification. Decided not to paint it as it works fine with the Black paint. Happy with the result and went for an "aero" test and it worked just fine...as in stayed on the car
Couple of pictures.... excuse poor quality and the sad clear bra....... it's served faithfully and is due to be replaced shortly.
