Plastidip from Lowes for $6 a can. Plain flat black.

Yes, it is a semi gloss finish (prepped for painting I believe). Plastidip is incredibly easy to work with and if you screw up, you pull it off and start over. I think it'd look a little odd installing it as is, though maybe someone else will give it a shot.
The material is similar to the factory lip so it is durable and flexes. I'd rather not hit curbs, but if I do it won't crack like carbon would. Also, the plastidip versus paint will be much more durable and you can touch it up easily if you do scratch it.
