GT2 style plastic spoiler lip for 997TT?
Just curious if anyone makes a slightly more aero front plastic spoiler lip for the regular turbo bumper? It seems cheap enough to produce and I think paying $800+ for carbon or factory aero kit is ridiculous considering it'll get torn up. Anyone retrofitted the GT2 bumper lip?

i'de love a gt2/gt3 type of front bumper. i always scrape. i recently had my beautiful carbon front lip destroyed, now im back to the oem painted front lip.
a lip made from polyurethane would be ideal, since it can take some abuse.

the gt2 and gt3 front lips are FAR more functional.
cant someone give us what we want ? i bet there would be dozens of us that would pay a fair price for a quality, functional front lip.. it doesnt need to be CF.. so it doesnt need to cost four figures.
these front lips add more stability on the front end.
price em at $500, and sell 100 of these in no time.

$830 for the "turbo" version of the same thing, that's crazy talk..
Porsche tax, indeed!

I can try to see how it fits this weekend.. In the garage I have 2 spare 997C2S aerokit/GT3 front lips that I had on my old car before I traded it in.. I've paid between $130 (ebay knock-off) and $200 (suncoast factory OEM) for these lips before.

I can shoot an email to the ebay vendor that makes the GT3 lips - maybe they would be interested in making a replica lip for the turbo..

Who thinks I should take a gamble on this? Emailed them and it's fiberglass so I'm guessing it would be torn up quickly.

I've had the aero kit lip on for about 4 yrs now & i can tell you it's made of the same material as the regular turbo lip & it can take a beating ,i've hit multiple parking blocks & scrape driveways all over town ,my car is very low & it bounces right back .Get it painted & clear bra it & forget about it ,although i agree it's not worth the $700 to $800 for it ,it's still better than any cf or fiberglass piece that will crack on the 1st parking block.
