Antilaser vs. 9500Ci Laser

Escort Passport 9500Ci Laser vs. Antilaser
Just talking to an installer to put in my 9500Ci and he started trying to tell me my laser jammers are no longer good against this new pulse laser gun. He was trying to upsell me on Antilaser. Anyone heard anything here about this new pulse laser used by some cops and/or this company Antilaser?

This person was telling me it doesn't matter. He said the laser jammers used in the Pro are also not able to pickup this new pulse laser and that only this company Antilaser's product will work and he's putting it on all the high end cars now. In fact, he would suggest the now suggests the new Bel radar along with the new Antilaser jammers b/c this entire solution is cheaper than the Escort 9500Ci Pro and the laser works better.

I don't want to call out the company since they are on this board and well-liked. I'm just trying to gather information and this company is also a dealer of all the products, so maybe they get a better % on Antilaser or maybe it's true.

I have the "run down" on this situation. I will not get into the pissing contest you guys have going on. Let's just say I'll stick with Escort

I was just asking for information to make a decision. I have an older 9500Ci and I'm about to pay someone to put it in my new car. While he is doing it, I would prefer to have laser jammers that will work for the next X years. Since I have to update my laser jammers anyway, I might as well do it with the one I see video proof of working on all laser equipment. Maybe the new L1 works or maybe it doesn't, but I know the AL works. I'm getting more information as well on Escort, but this is why I started the thread.

Question for OP is do you want the absolute latest gadget or something that works competently well at a decent price..
I have the litte portable Solo 3 and live in an area where COPS outnumber the wildlife and it works fine......... never been picked up for lead-footing

BestRadar good points, you are right.. here in the Hamptons if I drive the 8 miles between my house and Riverhead I will SEE 3-5 cop cars, 2 of which are in hiding but they are NOT using the I/O system
On the Long Island Expressway in certain districts they have I/O but if you speed there you are NUTS anyway..
My point was horses for courses. I know roads here where there are no cops and no people and no danger and that is where I thrash my cars

It also depends on what type of driver you are and where you drive... Your Solo S3 is not a very good detector and it will not pick up I/O (Instant On) shots but if you are a PSL +10 or so you will most likely be fine even if they tag you.
In some areas like in my home town they drive around with (C/O) Constant On and almost any detector will save you if they run that way. On the interstate however they run (I/O) and pull the trigger when they see a vehicle hauling ***. If you are a mile down the road past this individual your S3 will not warn you in this case while a Redline, V1, Sti-R Plus, Etc. will alert you and you will have that brief alert to know a trap is ahead.
The problem with the 9500CI which is something that stumps me is that the Beltronics Sti-R Plus is very similar but much better. The Beltronics version has RDR/BS settings which enables the detector to scan quicker and gives you the option to turn off RDR which essentially is a filter that you cant turn off on the 9500CI which delays every alert 1/2 second to make it more quiet. Issue is with I/O if they pull the trigger real quick to acquire the speed and let go the 9500CI could miss it.

It's already getting done and they are doing 3 sensors. 2 in front and 1 rear and he's integrating the AL Priority and the Passport 9500Ci as best he can. He's doing it on a few cars in the shop including an Aventador. If I didn't already own the 9500Ci, he did suggest the Bel. Maybe it integrates better? I don't recall, but the display colors match, but he never said it was a better unit. He's been in the business for many years and seems cool and is a board sponsor. All the cars in the shop were getting the AL Priority over the other laser jammers. He worked with the others for years and he was told by local police that this Dragoneye gun pushes through all other jammers, so he found this solution.

You need to join some of the countermeasure forums. The Sti-R Plus has been superior to the 9500CI for several years and Beltronics & Escort are the same company. You can also visit the Escort radar forum and you will see for years many people begging Escort to add the Beltronics Sti-R Plus RDR/BS features to the 9500CI. Not sure why being the same company they have never done it but the Sti-R Plus is superior. You are just not looking in the right places.
Here are results from a 2012 test and you will see the benefit these settings have on the Sti-R Plus over the 9500ci

Kinda crazy though all the reading I do here and I read about V1, K40 and the 9500Ci and never until you did I read the Bel was better. Sucks.
