does this look like a leak?

Hi guys,

Today on cold start, i noticed by clutch was heavier than normal towards the last 3/4th portion of clutch travel. Also when the engine was not cranked, i could hear an audible hiss when push the clutch pedal down every time.

This sound went away on starting the car and the clutch pedal feel went back to normal. No fluids on the floor so far, i inspected the reservoir and noticed some residue. It may be due to overflow as my reservoir cap was not fitting correctly.

This thread explains the loose cap exactly...

Picture attached. Is this what some people describe as puddling around the reservoir? Is this a sign of the slave going bad or do i have to swap out the reservoir assembly?

Please let me know your thoughts..

Yes. You have a failing clutch slave cylinder.
