I'm planning on upgrading my turbos on 997.1, cooler plugs, 4.5" intercoolers and tune ... What is recommended as for turbos ... 63.5 or 65mm .... Already have straight pipes ... Stock Triptronic trans .... DD so need it to be reliable

I have also been considering a turbo upgrade, and will be interested in any opinions.

Yeah straight pipes ... Lol .... The tuner said say with 63.5 to 65mm since I don't want to upgrade my trans .... I'll be happy with 650 to 700 crank hp

The price!!! Aren't those like $5900 just for the upgrades and then you have to buy the ACTUAL GT2 turbo's!!! Unless there is a different affordable option I am not aware of and I really hope so, being the performance from those 68mm against higher HP set ups did extremely well!!

Protomotive has 67mm vtgs that work fantastic for me. For the power level you're after though, 63.5s might be the better choice. 650-700 crank should be doable on 63.5s with the right supporting upgrades. The 67mm really only come to life on race gas or e85.

How much is the Proto 67mm? And do you send your oem ones in as cores or?

67 were $2800 IIRC. He might be able to do a core exchange if he has any in stock, otherwise might have to send him your turbos. Give Todd a call.

edit: I see you're in Sweden. I'm sure he could figure out something that works for you core/shipping wise - he often works with people from Europe/Middle East.
