GT3 Intake Manifold

Does anyone know what parts we need to be able to put onto 997 Turbo heads the GT3 intake manifold (996- 2005) (of course after being ported and matched)

Has anyone done this ? Tood K. is a believer of this; he's given me what he provides then he said i needed a bunch of other GT3 parts - so I got really confused as to what comes from Todd and what i need to purchase..

I also looked at Emre's intake setup and that requires some modifications; I am FAB-phobic as it tends to lengthen the project.

Are the parts the same as a 996TT ? (* They seem to post more details or mod more *) ..

Unfortunately I need something ASAP as the heads are already port matched to GT3s and the 997TT intake mani is waay too skinny to bold back up

The ESMotor intake manifold is a masterpiece but I think it's only sold in a tuning package

my fear has been the "minor" fab work ... i do wish it was more "bolt-on" and Emre does not know exactly what is in my car so he cant say 1 way or another that it should be A,B, C.

I have IPD everything on my cat the plenum; intake, 82mm TB which all bolt up to the OEM stuff - but i dunno where i will be once I have Emre's intake ... as i think things will get shifted around .

from build you are descrbing you are way past having things simply bolt up especially modified heads and intake manifold that were not meant to sit in this car. when you go to this level you hvae to make things fit/work not simply bolt and unbolt

On the flip side my 996TT has made 1140whp on a OEM 997TT intake manifolds, 75mm TB and IPD plenum...

You were the one I was told to talk to ..got any input on the GT3 parts ?

I know bigger is not often better - especially for forced induction - but I already said "I Do" ...heads are ported so I gotta sort it out ..

Im not saying its not better. I think ultimately the GT3 intake is better IF your heads are port matched to the manifold and you have the cams to move the air. As you mentioned you can no longer use a 997TT or GT2 intake manifolds because you can not open up the runners on them.

So you either need the ESMotor, Proto or a GT3 intake to match your heads at this point. Neither is really a bolt on, so you will need to make things work, such as the TB, Y pipe, oil filter housing, oil pressure sender and some other things. Everything is doable, all im saying is its not a simple bolt on .

On another note there are over 4 variations of the GT3 intakes and they have different runner and plenum designs. Some are better for boost than others. I dont have the part numbers for any of them.

Several threads on this subject, as Prodigy mentioned 997TT intake is plenty good unless you are going for 1300+whp. GT3 stuff never just bolts in...

$$ constraints and not sure of measurable performance significant ROI as a good source said cams are good for .2 60-130 on high boost - I skipped. Stuck with the 997TT heads - again bec. of cost and afraid of fab work as my mech is very reasonable prices but very OEMish .... so fear of that made me stay on OEM 997TT head and Cams
