Boost gauge on TTS, stock

I never really paid all that much attention to the TTS's boast gauge. I have mine set up in psi units.

I guess it's supposed to boost at 18, right?

Also, I noticed when you're at max throttle the boost pops up to 18-ish, but then goes down as the rpms build. Then, it's switches gears, boost peaks to 18-ish, and then it goes down as the rpms build, etc.
Is that normal?

Thanks!

I do not think 15 is correct if you have it in Sport mode? I was assuming Sport Chrono, as not many people ordered without that option....and if so...why?

997.2 is lower psi than 997.1

Over boost on the 997.2 TT is 14.5 psi (standard psi of tts).

Thanks for clarifying. Mine is 997.1 and that is why I see the higher numbers on the boost gauge. My mistake.

I've seen 15 psi in normal (non-sport) mode on my TT (non-S). In over-boost have actually seen 18 psi. I agree that I thought the boost was lower on a .2 and it's interesting that the bar indicator only goes to 14 (goes to 17 or 18 on a .1)

Hmm, I have a 2010 with Sport Chrono and a GIAC tune. I am only seeing 15psi while in sport PASM mode. Is this low? Or am I supposed to use the Sport Chrono feature?

Please advise.

Thanks,
Adam

On the bar gauge or the number indicator? With a tune the number indicator should definitely show more than 15psi.

I am using the number indicator which lists the PSI. Could the lower boost be a result of colder temps? It has not exceeded 60 degrees since I got the car and have been looking at the gauge.

Interesting! Do our gauges only read up to 15psi? What "log" are you referring to?
