Clutch Pedal to the Floor

Clutch Pedal to the Floor
Just like the title says ... clutch pedal hit the floor when I stepped on it.
Can't engage any gears while the engine is running.
I look under the car and the floor is dry... look at the Pentosin level it seemed normal.
Pumped the clutch pedal maybe 20 times and nothing ...
Would appreciate any input ...

When you say pentosin level are you referring to your brake reservoir? The brake and clutch share the same hydrolics. If that is full then you have another issue. My first though was a leak but if it isn't coming back after that many pumps it could be the cable itself?

just the accumulator. But they will recommend that you change your slave cylinder too. Cost is approx AED 5k with slave and accumulator + labor @ arm.
Now is a good time to upgrade your clutch.

I had a slave fail on my 996TT and it was diff ... the pedal was harder as I ran out of pentosin ... now, no pressure .. no resistance.

I have the ClutchMasters 3 that I took out of the 996TT before getting rid of it. I also have the GT2 conversion bits still in boxes.
I didn't like the feel of the CM3 with OEM slave and master.

you have to take it in, its the accumulator, slave cylinder or release bearing, in this order.
I've changed my slave, master and accumulator a few months back and lately feel a bit of pressure on the clutch pedal at the bottom part of travel when i first start the car in the morning. System is all new and i really can't say which of the three will fail first. I'll bet on the accumulator.

You just changed it a few months ago you have an inkling that it'll fail again anytime soon?
Yeah, I'll take it in tomorrow. Hopefully its just the accumulator. And they won't try and sell me the kitchen sink.
Maybe HOC?

Stiff clutch was fixed with an accumulator (cannonball), and the pedal to the floor was addressed with replacement of the master and slave cylinders. Total cost of $3700 over 2 visits to my dealer. Would've been cheaper with a private shop. I have a 2008 997.1TT with <10K miles.

Took it to my indy ... they couldn't find anything wrong it with, no leaks, etc.
They just rebled the system and everything is back to normal.
I figured I'll have this properly addressed when I change clutch / GT2 mod.

Btw, I didn't notice that there's a secondary Pentosin reservoir in the frunk. Coming from a 996TT, both clutch and powersteering used the same Pentosin tank from the engine bay.

lift the covers on the right side of the battery when standing on the drivers side. See my thread.
