Guys,

I got an update today from Joey@BBI .

They have been doing a parallel 4.0 stroker build on the white 997.2 Turbo S in the pictures above as well as the blue Turbo S in the pics I attached.

The blue 997.2 has a finished an installed 4.0 stroker and already has approximately 8,000 miles on it. The car also has 3076 turbos with a stock PDK and a stock fuel system, so of course is limited to 6XX wheel horsepower. BBI is working with vendor on the fuel system. They have about 4 designs and Joey mentions that they are close with the simplest/cost effective solution. Next is PDK. They have two PDKs in their shop with additional+30% heavier clutches. The PDKs need TCU tuning and Joey says Cobb is working on that but I'm not sure of the status of that.

With the fuel system and PDK addressed, the blue car can turn up the boost and see 1,000 HP.

The white car is simply waiting for the results from the blue car before it's put together.

Good news for the 997.2 guys wanting more power.

Beautiful car. Thanks for posting the pics and info.

Do they plan on racing the 4.0 build even in power limited form? I would think it would be quicker even with the power limited due to it's likely better power band.

I don't know the owner but from what BBI says he's not into racing per se. He does Gumballs and stuff like that and has Veyrons and a bunch of other exotics.

I'm not sure of the spool characteristics of the larger 3076 turbo with the 4L stroker but I imagine there is a little more lag that stock motor/VTG turbos.

If I were to take a guess there is well over $300k including the car and all mods that Turbo S. It's a work of art to look at. The interior is even better I should have taken pics.

Great news! That makes my thoughs stray even farther into trading up from a .1 to a .2. I wonder how painful the price tag will be for the fuel system and PDK upgrades.

Looks like BBi installed the engine into the white 918 spyder within the past few days. They will be running XONA rotor / Tial Sport turbos. Pretty sick setup https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...3386590&type=3

I find it really strange BBi kept the OEM intercoolers and hoses on this setup.. Just noticed that in the pics

Pioneering tech and everything they learn here will be transferable to the 991 turbo. Just awesome! With PDK and 1000bhp I can see world records for 0-300-0 kph on horizon. Hell even I'd ditch my Mezger and send them a dfi car if they can make this work reliably at a cost effective entry point. $300k entry point silly as most of us would rather just buy a 488 GTB or Macca 675.

300k is because the techart GT R street kit on that car alone is like 70k. The wheels are another 10k being p101. If he did the interior that's probably another 20k from techart. If he did the suspension it keeps adding. I think the whole GT street package is like 100k.

I have no clue. I just know that is the techart body kit and it's expensive as hell. And the whole package gets only more expensive if he got the suspension and interior to match. I can see clearly he didn't get their exhaust that comes with the kit, he's using bbi.

Evoms did something similar but it was a 997.1 on evt775 .
The 300K price indicated by the project is because BC bought this car new for the project and the car alone was one of the highest registred mrsp 997.2 turbu in usa
