I see, that makes a lot of sense, thank you for doing that. The only problem that I see with that is that matching the color and texture of the original decal is going to be next to impossible. I think there needs to be a gap just like on top of the hood which actually looks cool in my opinion and something that doesn't try to appear like it's part of the original decal piece.

Ah, ok, well fair enough. Good luck with whatever you decide and definitely post up more pics.

Cheers,

Nate

By the way, is that an OEM GT2 wing? If not, who'd you get it from and how was the fitment?

Cheers,

Nate

I am starting to think along the same lines and unless I get another set or a piece from another set I will probably leave it the way it is.

That's an OEM wing.

If my car was red I would definitely give this a closer look

Both of those options are really cool. I like the second quite a lot, but that would be more of a wrap I think. I can't get my head around how I would accomplish that one.

Anyway, now I'm looking at some of the options at KI Studios and have reached out to them for something subtle.

Again, thanks for the inspiration.

I'm going to PM you about your wing too, if you don't mind.

That looks great on a unique car like the 918 since it's rare and visually loud on it's own. I think the 911s are so common that you need more color and contrast to stand out especially on a quiet color like silver. I wonder how it would look on red.

Wow, now that's really cool!

I've always been a fan of the martini livery which kept GT/polar silver and white at the top of my list, but when my GR .2 popped up at the right time and price I gave up the hope of martini as I thought it would clash. Now that you've pointed this out you've rekindled my thoughts. I wonder where that can be sourced from. Time to start looking.

Thanks so much for pointing this out.

maybe this would work for a street car? Nothing like a boring paint job.
