My car is manual but I totally get you, I'll hold out for manual turbo. I drove the tiptronic and it was, how do the kids say it? "not tight"

Man I think they are going to kill you on the trade and you are moving into an old car. I would stay with the newer car. If you moved up to a 991 turbo different story.

I really wouldn't mind a 997.2 PDK but the price jumps exponentially and at that point I'd rather a GT4.
My question is, how much is the 991 worth? A 997.2 can be had for $95k. Should not be such a huge jump from your car. Then it IS an upgrade in every way. Your 991 will seem like a slug in comparison. And the tech with the updated pcm is not bad.
Gt4s are at a premium now, over 100k. That is a very limited market car, so it will remain to be seen how many real buyers there are after the flipping is over.

midwesterner is infamous around these parts
Was in the same boat prior to buying my 991c2S. I ended up cross shopping it with a 997.1 turbo. Then reality sunk in. With the 997, I would be paying for a car that was 8 years old and had roughly 30-50k miles. For the same price, I was able to get a nicely optioned 2 year old 991. Aesthetically speaking, both cars were the same in my book-simply gorgeous in their own right. The interior of the 991 felt all business and it was special. Finally, the power delivery and the PDK were what sold me on the 991.

As everyone else said, going from PDK to tip is an unacceptable downgrade.
