Just installed new Intercoolers and turbo inlet pipes on 997.1 from DO88

I had to cut the stock one out even with the engine lowered. I found one of the hardest parts is the small hose that connects to the drivers side. not too easy to get your arm in that far to connect it.

Do88 and 82mm plenum and TB will be my next mod...I believe that this motor could have come out with 650+ hp but porsche bottle necks it because they save for the future projects ....this motor has lots of freebies were power can be made.......for crying out loud the 996 turbo TB was 68mm...but I guess he 997 was making to much power so they made it a crappy 60mm....jeez thanks a lot porsche...........now worries that what's modding for....

I thought the 997's had 74mm throttles?

If you search the boards here, both 997TT and 996TT, you will find many folks find the plenums, Y pipes, and TB's to be underwhelming. Not what you'd call good bang for the buck. They simply don't give the advertised HP gains, even on highly modded cars. The marketing hyped notion they put out that it should be the first mod you make and gives 30-35hp does not seem to be supported by real world data. Lots of it. Search is your friend.

Did you ever do a dyno run?
Thanks for the advice guys just got the inlet pipes ordered through do88.se
Is it worth doing a before and after dyno just for interest?
Never had a dyno session but these guys seem to have got their hands on a super dyno.
