997tt bubly start up. Help!
#1
So I didn't drive my 997 turbo for the whole winter season and went to go fire it up yesterday; the battery was completely dead ( not surprised). I plugged in the trickle charger I bought and let it charge for about 8 hours. When I went to go start the car it fired up but it wasn't running smooth like before, instead of a smooth buzzz it was like bubbly sound. When I get on it a little and let go the rpm would drop and then try to maintain idle. (No CEL). Does anyone know what it could be or experienced this before?
I took a video is there any way I can post it?

Possible bad battery, although there is a little learning that the PCM needs when the battery has been disconnected or is dead. If the battery is over 3 years old, and has gone flat, it may be time for a new one. German cars aren't fond of bad batteries and will do strange electrical things.

I didn't drive the car since November, I tried to jump start it with cables didn't do it, so plugged in the Porsche trickle charger and let it charge for 8 hours or so... And I didn't drive the car just warmed it up; I was told not to drive it. I have a video if you'd like I can send it some how. I was trying to attach it here but wouldn't let me .

Unless you are running on e85, the fuel more than likely is not degraded that much in 3 months. E85 will turn to crap real quick , but regular fuel will last quite a bit longer. I have a car that has the same fuel in it for 3 years, and starts and runs without problem. Not saying this cant happen, or that the fuel is better than it was 3 months ago, but it is a short time for fuel to degrade to the point of rough running.

depending on your location all fuel now contains some % of ethanol. If the cars not running great most likely a contributing factor....fuel inj cleaner may help running that old fuel out....high performance cars on old gas, not the best recipe........I know for sure leaving fuel in your leaf blower for 3 months it will eat the soft rubbers in the fuel system...have the repair bill.
