Geting PPI Today & Best Place to Purchase Fidelity Warranty
Hey Guys,
I've been browsing around the 997 turbo forum for a long time (years) and I'm finally in the process of trying to close the deal. I'm deciding between two cars, both 997.1 Turbo Cabriolets. I'm performing the PPI today at Hoffman Porsche in Connecticut for one of the cab's. Also, I need to find the best place to purchase the Fidelity Warranty. I've been ripping through this forum and it seems the prices of the Fidelity Platinum warranty vary by dealer. The dealer who is selling the front-runner of the two turbo's does not offer any aftermarket warranties for the car. I would appreciate any insight or a referral for a dealer that sells the warranty for a great price!
Thanks

Thanks!!! I reached out to Elliot and left a message on his vmail and sent him an email. I also got a quote for the Fidelity Platinum Warranty from a loca Audi dealer:
3 years / 36K- $4256
4 years / 47K- $5565
5 years / 60K- $6645
The warranties are pricey, but I would rather the piece of mind at the end of the day. I've had a couple of horror stories in the past and I want to be protected this time.

Everything checked out okay as stated by the service rep. He said the biggest concern was the clutch accumulator needed to be replaced. When I test drove the car the clutch pedal did feel stiff compared to the other turbo's I test drove. It would cost about $1650 to replace the accumulator and reservoir and the Low tone horn needed to be replaced for $300. The service rep. also stated there were a few over revs, nothing he has seen out the norm, better than what he's seen in the past and I shouldn't be worried about it. He also stated that Porsche will not certify a car with over revs though.

The service rep. said he will try to get the DME readout in the morning. Will update tomorrow. Also the dealer who I am purchasing the car from is offering to fix the accumulator and horn at their dealership or he will give me a 1K discount on the car and I can fix the car at the Porsche dealer. I would rather have the car fixed at the Porsche Service center just for the piece of mind.
