Hello. New Member to board. Purchasing a 997.1 T

Hi Everyone,

I have been lurking on this board for longer than I'd like to admit. I've been searching for quite some time for the perfect 997.1 T with a 6 spd.

I will be taking delivery of an '07 Cobalt Blue car which quite a bit of go fast stuff on it come mid-May. Pics and detail to follow.

Needless to say, the bug has already bit me and I'm planning mods and getting things lined up.

I'm considering a new wheel and tire setup, and different rate springs. I live on the East End of Long Island and the quote I got from Porsche for a spring swap was $1500 which I know is too much.

Does anyone know of a decent shop anywhere on Long Island that wont over-charge me?

Thanks in advance.

Congrats on the purchase! They are great cars - i'm sure you will enjoy it!

Not sure of a decent shop to perform the spring install - but that price is high - In Texas, about half that is a reasonable price from what i have seen - i am sure things are likely a bit more expensive up in your neck of the woods, but figured i'd share as a point of reference.

Good luck!
