Boost Pressure Actuator Bank 1 fault code???
I just had a PPI done on a 997.1 Turbo, 6 speed manual. Everything came back ok, except that there is a fault code P1252 Boost Pressure Actuator Bank 1. There is no check engine coming on but fault code is there when they use the dealer software. They also said they can not clear the code. The car does have a tune and not sure by whom.
The question is would a tune cause such fault? Is it something to be worried about. According to the dealership, car drives fine and very fast and shows no issues during driving. They said they can only reset the software to factory but then I may lose the tune which is $$$. All inputs would be appreciated.

No, unlikely to be caused by the tune. The VGT collar can become stuck. It's not terribly common. Could be the actuator itself. The best thing to have done have is the actuator unhooked from the collar and see how the collar moves. The VTG actuator may need to be replaced as well. It is unlikely that the turbo itself needs to be replaced.

If there was something wrong with the actual actuator or turbo wouldnt it affect driving and not be able to boost? The service manager tells me he drove the car and is "very fast car" faster than any stock ones he has tested. Thats whats puzzling.

1.) We could guess all sorts of things, but it is easy enough to check if you want to be sure. There is no certainty from the little you posted.
2.) Unless you step out of a Turbo you know to be working properly and get right in to this one to compare, I doubt the assessment of it being very fast is very accurate.
At any rate, I was just offering a simple suggestion to check before you get in to more involved work.
Best bet, is to take it to a dealer or skilled shop if you are not certain. I think the suggestions in the posts here are sound based on your description.
