Good indy shop in OC, Ca?
I posted in another thread recently regarding my seatbelt chime. Basically it looks like the sensor in the seat belt receptacle/buckle that recognizes the seat belt is connected has broken and you get the annoying seat belt chime for 90 seconds after you start driving. 90 seconds doesn't seem that bad but trust me, it's the longest 90 seconds of your life! Dealer watnes $650 to replace it. Saw the part on suncoast for $110 and was thinking of doing it myself but wanted to see if anyone knows a good indy shop in OC. Basically they just need to take the seat out and swap the buckle for the new one. I'd imagine no more than 1-1.5 hours of labor for someone who knows what they're doing. Appreciate any advice/input from the community.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hergesheimer (in Lake Forest) has a PIWIS and should be able to do this. However, if you have Durametric Pro or can find someone that has it can't you just shut it off yourself?
Also, taking the seat out takes no more than 5 minutes. I would imagine replacing the seat buckle receptacle takes another 5 minutes on top. I don't think a shop would do this for any less than 1 hour labor (~$140 at Hergesheimer)...assuming it is as simple as I think.

Thanks for all the replies guys! I like the idea of turning the chime off on the one hand but maintaining the car well has always been my goal so I think replacing the buckle is the best way to go to keep the stock functionality. I found an indy shop that does porsches and they would replace it for $260. Since my fidelity car warranty has a $250 deductible, assuming they would have covered it (which is strange to begin with and I don't understand why seatbelt and the restraining systems are not covered under the extended warranty), I'd pay that at the dealer anyway. So I decided to take the car to them once the part arrives. But again thanks for the other names. I'll keep them for future work.
