Issue after installing plenum

I installed an IPD plenum/ throttle body a week ago and am having issues blowing the throttle body- y pipe coupler off, or the plenum- intake hose off under full boost.

Has anyone had similar issues? I have fully installed/ uninstalled everything 3 times now and the same issues persist.

Thanks!

Try cleaning the boot and TB and Ypipe with alcohol to ensure no dirt or oil residue exist

then may be consider changing the clamps??

did you use an IPD coupler? It will have the lip on the inside of the coupler that will mate with the throttle body and Y-Pipe. I just installed mine this last weekend and haven't had any issues with it.

You absolutely should get rid of the stock worm gear clamps and upgrade to good stainless steel band clamps for a better clamping force. You'll need a 4" clamp (for the TB) and a 4.125" clamp (for the y-pipe)

rob.boost is right, with the IPD coppler and good quality clamps you can boost over 30 psi with no issues at all.

Its important to make sure the angle of the IPD is even with the Y pipe- classic mistake on the 996s....
