Sport Chrono or GIAC Tuning?

Sport Chrono or GIAC Tuning?
From what I read, the sport chrono allows extra boost for 10 seconds, increasing torque? Wouldn't a chipped car make this useless, once tuning becomes available?
Is Porsche going to use the cheap plastic valves again or spend the extra 30 dollars and upgrade to metal ones like they should have in the first place?

It seems to me that in Porsche's getting some extra power to make the 997TT such a "dramatic improvement" over the 996TT, the company did it the same way a tuner would. The difference is that from Porsche you get a warranty. Tuners "back their work" but I don't know if that means that they'll replace your engine free of cost if it breaks after tuning.
The 996TTis, in stock form, operating well below it's engineered maximum reliable capabilities, and this probably applies to 997TT as well. Good improvements can be seen with minimal work, and crazy improvements in power require pretty minimal engine work. Either option, tuner or Sport Chrono, will probably be reliable.
For me, the Turbo S I drive now cost barely any more than my first regular Turbo, a 2002. So, I got alot of improvements for about $4K in price difference. If the cost differential is huge, I'd go tuner unless Sport Chrono offers more than just overboost.

There are more differences now than just throttle response and overboost. There is also a difference in allowable slip angle (increased by 15%) with PSM engaged. A lot more track fun getting sideways.
