Yes, the Vette is incredible for the money, - but I take issue with people that can't get past the infantile approach of "mine is better than your's", then dismiss other issues as excuses when they use the same issues to trade up themselves. I have zero brand loyality, I am loyal to a design that I find interesting and exciting. If Porsche does not meet that criteria, then the next car will not be a Porsche. The NEXT Corvette will be a better car than the current Z06, and it will probably be a few years at most - THEN things will get ugly, and I will be forced to buy one.

Sticking the original posters thread. Stock vs stock, same driver... I say the Z06.

 

Yea C6 Z06 is very appealing, so much that looks wise it would be tough to choose between that or 997tt (looks not buying)

Both are amazing for what they have to offer, it will be a good run and cant wait to see it!

 

both cars are hot. personally i like the 997tt more, but that's me. the first time i saw the vette, the thing that struck me the most was how ferrari like it looked. the lines on that car are fantastic, but like i said, if given the choice of the vette and cash vs the turbo, i go turbo.

 

the z06 is the first corvette that the european press actually like,however they say the ride is too hard for our roads and whilst it may be quick in a striaght line..for the winding roads were real fun is to be had..nothing..and i mean nothing will live with a porsche turbo,its compactness and traction make it unbeatable.

The Z06 for sure is a very powerful cars...it drives like a european car, it's cheap...bla bla bla....what ever you want...But I'd always go for a P...better if is 997 TT!

 

I will go out on a limb and pick the 997 tt.

 

What you fail to understand is that my 01 Z06 could not do ANYTHING better than my C6 Z06 in stock trim. Sure, I can take a Civic, dump 8K in it and have the fastest car on the road, but then I will just have a modded fast car that looks like a$$ and can only go fast in a straight line. The C6 Z06, in STOCK trim, can do everything a 997 TT can performance wise, looks better imo, has awesome interior, and is very refined (Almost too refined).

I cannot wait for the videos and story. My bet is ont he Z06 although I think the turbo would have it it were from a stop. Shoudl be interesitng. Two great cars.

Was it posted if the TT is a tip or 6 speed? 50-150 means you shift at least three times right? If equal drivers both on manuals I say Z06, but if the TT is a tip, you better be a good driver because all he has to do is plant his foot.
