We were back on the dyno again today and will be there again in the morning. I will post more results after we finish. We are completing testing on our stage 1 upgrade and will have the results and data later Thursday. This car is beginningto grow on me and I am starting to enjoy it very much I have spent every day and night in it and have almost 2K miles on the clock. It has become more enjoyable recently and is getting much quicker

 

Don't keep us in suspense -- how did it go today?

 

We finished our stage 1 testing and I must say I am very excited with the results. We originally baseline tested the car at 375 HP and 390 TQ at all 4 wheels on a Mustang 500SE. We retested the car 100% stock yesterday because the car felt like it was getting quicker and quicker with more miles on it. Additionally, the "RON Dependent Ignition Map" changed recently while I was data logging on a trip up north. After this map changed, I noticed the ignition timing was higher than before and my butt dyno was feeling more power.

The car now has a baseline of 418 AWHP and 468 AWTQ on the same dyno under the EXACT same conditions. The 468 AWTQ number is while in over boost mode and without over boost, it is at 432 AWTQ. With these numbers the car is making roughly 500 HP and 550 TQ in over boost and 490 HP and 520 TQ according to this Mustang Dyno.

Now to the good stuff We have also been testing our Stage 1 997TT power upgrade on the same dyno with the same conditions. I will eloborate on the components in this system laterand will post dyno shortly.

Very nice! The decrease in EGTs is particularly promising for getting more power out of the stock turbos.

 

Some photos from today. Notice our "window" fans. These are prototype but when we get our facility completed, we will have these suspended from the ceiling. These fans produce 70 MPH of airflow in a very condensed area and are great for the intercoolers and flowing air down the rear window to simulate road airflow into the engine compartment. I have 7 of these fans but could only fit 4 of them in the car to test at my friends facility. Pretty funny to see a NEW 997TT cruising down the highway without a rear bumper and 4 fans in the car.

YES YES. I have studied this in detail and this what I was very intrigued by. This means we can safely increase boost for a longer time and be safe. This will be addressed more once we get some higher output programs installed.

 

Oh neat. With a highflow exhaust/cats and those headers and more tuning.. It'll be like a stage IV at least

I know yesterday we were talking about the stage 1 upgrade but yesterday we added some new shoes to the new beast. Thought I would share the new look. These are 19" Fikse Profil 10, polished lips, black centers. 11.5 x 19 and 8.5 x 19. Let me know what you guys think.

We chose these wheels after building a set for the white 996TT "DMK" that is featured on our site. I like the look of the step lip. Most all 3-pc wheels these days have a flat lip and I wanted something different. IMHO the step lip looks tougher and is much stronger than the flat lip. Additionally, these wheels are fairly light at only 21.5 pounds front and 23 pounds in the rear each.

Anyone interested in the stock wheels, let me know.
