Great pics and great write up. We toured the MBZ & Porsche factory 2 months ago. Wasn't it amazing to see all the robots in the MBZ factory, and just one at Porsche. Also I'm pretty sure the Boxster and Caymens are build at the Leizberg factory, just the 911's are made in Stuttgart I believe. The MBZ museum wasn't opened yet, so your pictures were great to see. They had a Carrera GT parked in there small musuem, looks like it was moved out when you were there. Funny this must be a higher up exec's parking spot. This TT was parked there at that time.

the boxster is built in Stuttgart. the only cars to be built in Leipzig are the Cayenne, the Carrera GT and the Panamera when it comes out.

I though the Cayman was build in Leipzig? And the Carrera GT production is over

I'm not sure about the cayman, but i know the boxster is. My guess is that the cayman would be built along with the boxster, but i could be wrong! The link says that only the carrera gt and the cayenne are produced in leipzig. http://www.porsche.com/usa/aboutpors...alfactorytour/ When i said the carrera gt was built in leipzig, i meant that it had been built there.
