Trade in value - 996TT for 997TT?

What is the trade in value for an '03 TT X50 with 11K miles. Car is perfect - always garaged. Options include natural leather seats, remote CD changer, heated seats, small aluminum package and stainless door sills. The car is Seal Grey? Thanks.

You should check, Edmunds, Kelly Blue Book and Ebay to get a rough idea..

kmp254,

I don not know the answer to your question. The bad news is that the pampering (always garaged, etc.) means zilch to the dealers in trades. Their only interest is the lowest bottom dollar that you will accept in trade.

In a private sale, buyers will care much more if the car is pampered.

Good luck.

03 tt....$89k... uh, no. More like $75k max...retail. Trust me, recently sold my 4th 996TT... 996 is very, very weak right now. Turbo S are even going for $30k under sticker.... power of the new model... Auction last week here in FL had 2004 TT (X50, 3k miles) sold for $77k..and had very little action. Ask around....not good right now...unless you are buying

Unfortunately the TT was taking a hit prior to the 997 TT...now that the 997 TT is here it is probably even more pronounced...80K private is possible if you find the right buyer...

sorry chief, dealers would be buyers of 03 TT X50's around $80k. not out of this world for a retail customer to pay high $80's for a clean low miled 03 X50 TT. the market is soft, but its not silly (yet)

My friend sold his '02 x50, aero with only 8k miles on it for 87k recently, that was the highest of several offers too. The market is very soft right now.

Thanks for the responses - my deal is for $80K. This is disappointing for a car that is 4 years old that listed for $140,000. It seems that you loose any premium associated with the factory power upgrade.

My friend sold his last Friday to the dealer (Porsche dealer) to have his draft ready for his upcoming 997TT for 78k as a trade in value.

His was 2002 Tips with 6100 miles and loads of options, sticker was 142k. He had Polar Silver, full leather, full Carbon Fiber, crest in the seats, gages in Red, Red seat belts, CD changer, and many more options that I can't remember. I was totally shocked by the price the dealer paid.

He tried ebay didn't work and several small private dealers wanted to give him around 72k so the trade in 78k value didn't seem that bad, I guess.
