If you really want a Tip then offer to let them keep the deposit for another car and possibly they will let the other party buy it. I would agree that the dealership is doing the right thing by trying to keep flippers out of the market. You need to call the dealership directly to discuss though.

Posting on the internet is not going to do anything to help your relationship with the dealer. Communication with your sales rep and sales manager is key in this situation.

They probably also have a long-time loyal customer waiting for one and would rather sell it to him than your friend. Your deposit is a deal between you and them. As they said, if you want to back out fine, but they are not obligated to then make a deal with your friend. They can if they choose to, but they do not have to, and as other have pointed out they have good reason not to.

I'd also suggest that its OK for you to have a toy that its all your own and not shared with your girl. Just get her her own toy and tell her to keep her paws off yours!! Tip for the rare time the girl wants to drive...come on!?!?
