Take say 10 tracks around the world and each car will win some and lose some. Depends on many factors, straight lengths, corner angles, length etc. to take advantage of each cars talent areas. While its easy to find a track that the Z06 is at home bottom line is the automotive world tends to agree on one yardstick...the 'Ring. And we all know what happens there.

And please....Don't confuse the 'vette boys with the facts about the 'Ring.
The 'vette fans are too busy quoting erroneous numbers around the 'Ring.
All we hear is the ring this and the ring that. At the 'Ring, I do believe that the stock 997TT blew the roof off of the stock ZO6.
Or did the roof blow off all by itself??

The Corvette is a great car. What people have to realize is that Chevy can make a good product. The Corvettes over the years have always had great stick for the skidpad and always posted numbers as good or better than most high end cars for half the money.
REMEMBER THOU, IF YOU BUY A CORVETTE YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE SEEN IN ONE OF THE UGLIEST CARS EVER PRODUCED AND MOST OF US ARE NOT OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF GOLD CHAINS REQUIRED TO DRIVE ONE.

the zo6 is bloody garbage. clarkson said him self that the center tranny console would heat up after spirited driving. I mean come on, and the fact that its almost completly plastic is also a turn off in my book.

If someone is looking to score some quick cash, perhaps we can engineer some carbon fiber mud flaps and sell them to the ZO6 crowd.
Long live the 'Vette Lover (They provide me endless hours of entertainment.)

While you all continue to contend it's a piece of "bloody garbage" or that the owners wear "gold chains", which is a generality that serves only as a personal attack, I'll tell each of you that while my 997TT is an outstanding car, my Z06 is a heck of lot of fun too.
I'd be curious to know how many of the Z06 haters on this forum have actually driven the car (besides Amerlemans)? And how many of you have driven the Z06 then jumped in the 997TT and driven it to draw a real time comparison?
I think its fine if you don't prefer the Z06 over the 997TT, but why is it necessary to personally attack the owner/driver? What purpose does it serve?
I happen to like both cars, they each have a different personality and heritage to them. Enjoy the cars!

I have driven the ZO6 for around 4 hours on a variety of roads. The front seats made me feel like a pair of DD ***** in a AAA bra. Road feel is an oxymoron in the ZO6 ('Fess up...it is no where close to any Porsche). The brake pedal feels like I am stepping on a 120 day old cantaloupe. The car has the feeling of airline turbulence while turning at high speed and rolling over a bump. And don't get me going on the interior. Can you say shake, rattle, and roll? My car only had 5600 miles on it. My point is this...the car is poorly engineered. My proof....in 5 years compare the resale value on a 70K 2006 ZO6 to a 70K CaymanS. One will be a parts depot for the avid racer and the other will still be turning heads.

Aside from a colorful paragraph of smack, I didn't know you were also a soothsayer? Since when is speculating on resale value in 5 years "proof"?
